Hey, it's no worse than making your child live vicariously through your own short comings in life. Just cause you might have sucked as a kid at a certain sport doesn't mean you should hold them back from progressing in a sport they are good at. Some parents spend insane amounts of money on their kids hockey equipment every few years and the kids don't even like the sport. This kid wants to progress and he told his dad how he wishes there was a DH bike for his size. He will now dominate ahead of all the rest because his dad supports him. I do understand what you're saying that the prices on these rigs are ridiculous. The adult bikes are just as ridiculous at the cost levels they are at and the bike industry as a whole needs to make these adrenaline machines more affordable over the whole board quite honestly.

Solid rider with some really good flow and damn that pump track and DJ set up is awesome. If I had a spot where I could just go at it and make it however I wanted it would be very similar to that. You Canadians got it good up there with all that land and the fact that your country is on the up and up with mountain biking so you guys probably don't have to deal with as much track development issues as we do in the U.S.. I can't count how many spots have been torn down out here. That design is sick flowy and ridiculous and Aaron your videos capture the essence of the ride and the uniqueness of each riders style put into each edit! Gotta love it!! Keep it Shredding!!!

Well I gotta say just looking at most of the posts we will definitely not let the essence of Freeride go away. Great article and Graham Agassiz's comments are solidly put. Freeriding in its truest form is just enjoying the mountain bike experience however you want to. Having gravity push you and your adrenaline to a sweet spot...just don't clutter it up with competition all the time. Have fun for the sake of it and progress with your buddies along the way...take it in....enjoy the ride....
